Biography
Composer, sound designer and musician, Louison PUGIN is a student in Master II MAAAV (Music
Applied to the Visual Arts) of Lyon. Coming from the French Alps, he lives and works in his hometown and Lyon.
He learned the trombone at the music school of Bourg Saint Maurice, before being a student at the
music national school of Villeurbanne. He discovered electronic music when he was a teenager, and
got a degree in sound design after his first two years of higher education. He kept studying in the
Musicology department at the University of Lyon in order to learn more about music composition.
He records acoustic instruments as much as possible, creates his own sounds with synthesizers and
uses them as tools for his compositions. He currently composes music and sound design for student’s projects, like short films and video games (ESMA, EMILE COHL, …).
Since 2022, he has composed electro-funk tracks for ARTURIA to introduce new synthesizers. In 2019,
he created ambient music for ART BY FRIENDS during a street art exhibition on the theme of
language. In 2023, he was a finalist in the SOUNDTRACK Cologne European talent competition.
